Rings from the jewellery warehouse

Why Buy Your Rings from The Jewellery Warehouse?

Most of our gold, silver and diamond rings are one-off pieces, chosen by hand by our small Stockport team. We buy what we’d be happy to wear or give ourselves, then photograph, size and describe each ring so you know exactly what you’re getting.

Before they reach the shop floor, every ring is carefully cleaned and professionally polished to restore its shine and remove everyday surface marks. Where applicable, we also check settings and claws so your stones are secure and your ring looks and feels as good as possible when you take it home.

Sustainable Eco-Friendly-vintage jewellery

Sustainable & Eco-Friendly Rings

Choosing a pre-owned ring is a more sustainable way to buy jewellery. By giving existing pieces a new life instead of creating something from scratch, you’re reducing demand for new mining and manufacturing while still enjoying real gold, silver and gemstones.

One-of-a-Kind
Designs

Most of our rings are one-off finds, chosen individually rather than bought in bulk. From simple gold bands to vintage and antique styles with real character, we only buy pieces we’d be happy to wear or give ourselves.

Hallmarks & Details Clearly Explained

Where hallmarks are present, we note them and explain what they mean, along with metal, stones and any age-related quirks. It’s our way of helping you buy with confidence, especially when you’re choosing vintage or antique rings.

Honest Descriptions & Ring Sizing

We measure, check and describe each ring carefully, including the size, fit and any signs of previous wear you should know about. That way, there are no surprises when you open the box – just a ring that looks how you expected it to.

All Things Rings: From Sizing to Sparkle

If you’re not sure where to start with rings – size, metal, budget or how many fingers to fill – this is where we share what we’ve learned. From simple sizing tips and metal choices to how to wear vintage, antique and modern rings together, these posts are written to help you feel more confident before you choose the next ring for your hand.

Have Questions About Our Rings?

We know buying a ring isn’t always straightforward – there’s size to think about, metal, stones, whether to go vintage, antique or modern, and how it will cope with everyday wear. This FAQ section covers some of the things we’re asked most often, so you can choose with a bit more confidence.

If you don’t see your question answered here, feel free to reach out by emailing us - we’re always happy to help.

If you already own a ring that fits well on the same finger, you can measure the inside diameter and compare it to a ring size chart. Otherwise, we always recommend using a ring sizer or having your finger measured by a jeweller. If you’re between sizes or buying as a gift, feel free to contact us and we’ll talk you through the best option.

We can only resize rings that have been purchased in our shop, as ring sizes are sometimes chosen incorrectly and we need to assess each piece in person. As a general rule, most rings can be resized up or down by up to two full sizes. If the ring has stones set all the way around the band, resizing by more than two sizes may cause the stones to become loose or pop out.

Some are, some aren’t – and we’ll always be honest about that. Sturdier designs with secure settings and lower profiles are usually fine for regular wear, while very delicate or high-set rings are better kept for “sometimes” rather than “all the time”. We note any condition points and quirks in the description so you can decide how you’d like to wear it.

Where a ring is set with diamonds or other gemstones, we describe them based on our inspection and any existing paperwork. If a stone is synthetic, simulated, or we’re not certain, we’ll say so rather than guess. We’d rather slightly under-describe a stone than over-promise.

Most of our rings are 9ct gold, platinum or sterling silver, and we’ll always mention hallmarks where they’re present. The product description will state the metal and any marks we’ve found, so you know exactly what you’re buying.

Take rings off for heavy DIY, gym sessions, swimming and strong cleaning products, and store them separately so they don’t scratch each other. A soft cloth and warm soapy water is usually enough for most plain gold and silver rings. Pearl, opal and older stones need a bit more care, so avoid harsh chemicals and very hot water.
