Vintage 9ct Yellow Gold Opal & Diamond Cluster Ring – London 1976

£269.00

A beautiful vintage 9ct yellow gold opal and diamond cluster ring, dating to 1976, featuring a charming floral inspired design with intricate gold work typical of the era.
The ring showcases six round cabochon cut opals, arranged in a cluster surrounding a central sparkling accent diamond. The opals display a lovely play of colour, with flashes of vibrant green, soft pink, blue and orange shimmering across their creamy white surfaces as they catch the light.
At the centre sits a small round diamond, beautifully framed by a decorative white gold starburst setting. This creates a lovely contrast against the warm yellow gold and adds a subtle touch of sparkle to the design.
The gemstones are secured in traditional claw settings within a raised openwork gallery, giving the cluster an elegant and prominent appearance on the finger.
A particularly attractive feature is the wide, tapered shoulders, decorated with fine vertical embossed detailing, a distinctive design characteristic of jewellery from the 1970s.
Hallmarked in London in 1976, this lovely vintage ring is a wonderful example of 1970s jewellery, combining the natural beauty of opals with traditional gold smithing and distinctive period styling.
This is a pre-loved piece that has been professionally cleaned and polished in our workshop. It is presented in excellent condition, ready to be worn and treasured once again.
