Vintage 18ct Gold & Platinum 0.75ct Diamond Engagement Ring c1940

A beautiful vintage 18ct yellow gold and platinum diamond engagement ring, dating from around the 1940s.
At the centre is a sparkling round brilliant cut diamond weighing approximately 0.75ct, securely claw set in a raised platinum crown setting. The elevated setting allows the diamond to catch the light beautifully and gives the ring an elegant, classic profile.
The platinum-topped shoulders feature a distinctive stepped geometric design, set with sparkling accent diamonds and finished with delicate engraved detailing. This combination of the prominent central diamond and decorative shoulders gives the ring wonderful vintage character, typical of engagement rings from the period.
