£825.00
A truly beautiful Victorian 9ct gold bangle, fully hallmarked in Birmingham for 1897, with a particularly lovely two-tone gold design.
The ornate front of the bangle is crafted in yellow gold, while the smooth reverse has the wonderfully warm rose gold tone so characteristic of Victorian jewellery. The contrast between the two gold colours adds another beautiful and unusual detail to this antique piece.
The front features an elegant elongated panel set with seven old-cut round rubies, alternating with delicate seed pearls. The gemstones are surrounded by intricate twisted gold wirework and fine beaded detailing, showcasing the wonderful craftsmanship of the Victorian period.
Decorative scroll-style details sit to either side of the gemstone panel, while the smooth rose gold reverse makes the bangle comfortable to wear.
The bangle fastens securely with a push-in clasp and is further protected by a safety chain.
Fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1897, this wonderful bangle is now well over 125 years old. The maker’s mark is present, although unfortunately we are unable to read it clearly.
There is a very tiny dent to the upper side of the bangle, mentioned for complete accuracy. Considering its age, it remains in fabulous antique condition.
It has been cleaned and polished with care, preserving the character and charm of this beautiful piece of Victorian jewellery.
