Vintage 9ct Yellow Gold Opal and Diamond Ring

A beautiful vintage 9ct yellow gold opal and diamond ring, dating to 2001, featuring a stunning oval cabochon-cut opal complemented by sparkling diamond set crossover shoulders and a wonderfully detailed setting.
The opal displays a lovely play of colour, with delicate flashes of green, blue and warm orange shimmering across its creamy white surface as it catches the light.
The opal is secured in an elegant four claw setting, with gracefully sweeping crossover shoulders featuring rows of sparkling accent diamonds. The diamonds are set in contrasting white-toned channels, beautifully complementing the warm yellow gold band.
A particularly charming feature is the additional round diamond set directly beneath the opal on each side of the raised gallery. These diamonds are nestled within the curved gold supports, adding an unexpected touch of sparkle when the ring is viewed from the side.
The combination of the diamond-set shoulders, sculptural crossover design and cleverly positioned side diamonds gives this ring a distinctive and sophisticated appearance.
