Antique 9ct Rose Gold Cameo Brooch – Pre 1930

A beautiful antique cameo brooch, crafted in warm 9ct rose gold and dating to pre 1930.
The oval cameo is finely carved with a classical scene depicting two figures in traditional draped dress. The soft cream carving contrasts beautifully against the warm peach toned background, creating an elegant and timeless appearance.
The cameo is securely rim-set within a 9ct rose gold mount and surrounded by a particularly pretty frilled openwork border, finished with delicate loops and bead detailing. This decorative setting gives the brooch a wonderfully feminine appearance while allowing the cameo itself to remain the focal point.
To the reverse is a traditional brooch fitting with a metal pin.
The gold is stamped 9C and 9CT. Based on these early British gold markings and the style of the piece, we date the brooch to pre 1930.
A lovely piece of antique jewellery with plenty of character, perfect for wearing on a jacket, blouse or scarf, and equally appealing to a collector of antique cameo jewellery.
We have cleaned and polished this brooch with care, and it remains in excellent antique condition, ready to be worn and cherished once again.
