Frederick James Ross Sterling Silver Winchester Bushel Bowl

£199.00

A highly collectible sterling silver bowl known as the Winchester Bushel by renowned silversmith Frederick James Ross. The bowl has twin handles on either side, which are functional but also add symmetry and balance. Raised upon three bracket-style feet, which lift the bowl elegantly from its surface. The surface is hand hammered, giving it a handcrafted, dimpled appearance characteristic of the Arts & Crafts aesthetic. Around the rim is the Latin phrase “Henricus Septimus Dei Gracia Rex Angliae et Franciae” (“Henry VII, by the Grace of God, King of England and France”), directly referencing the historical context of the Winchester Bushel.
This bowl captures Ross’s exceptional craftsmanship.
